Did they rise up to your expectation?

Here’s a quickie for today. Mostly it’s questions that came to my mind and I thought it’s time to pen them down.

After weeks of having lessons with your students, does your student rise up to your expectation when you assess them?

In my case, if I have really thought them well (effective lesson, etc.), most of the time I’m quite satisfied with the result of their assessment. But what if they don’t?

Then this question comes to my mind. What can we do as teachers to make sure that they students are able to do the tasks that was designed for them in the assessment?

I wonder whether there are any music teachers out there with the same sentiments as me. If any of you happen to chance upon this, I sincerely wish you would take time to respond private or just share in the comment in section. Would love to hear for you.
